Some causes are worth fighting for, and Net Neutrality is one of them. A bill was recently introduced in Congress that would require ISPs not to "block, interfere with, discriminate against, impair, or degrade Internet access." IRAQ MULLS WEB SITE BAN, FUELS CENSORSHIP FEARS
Iraq is considering blocking Web sites deemed pornographic or that incite violence or crime, triggering fears of a return to Saddam Hussein-style state censorship and government propaganda. Iraq's Interior Ministry said it was looking into blocking sites that are connected to crimes such as money laundering, robbery, prostitution, bomb-making and terrorism.

FCC CHAIR GETS SERIOUS ABOUT BROADBAND PLAN
Spurred by a congressional mandate and backed by some serious cash from the stimulus plan, newly named FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski has been evangelizing about the need for broadband speed. PRISON CELL JAMMING BILL CLOSE TO SENATE PASSAGE
The nation's prisons are one big step closer to being allowed to jam mobile phone signals to keep prisoners from using the phones to commit further crimes, despite strong opposition from digital rights groups that say there are better ways to fight the problem. SENATE COMMERCE COMMITTEE APPROVES CAHILL NOMINATION FOR CPB
The Senate Commerce Committee approved the nomination of Patricia Cahill to be a member of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Cahill is the general manager of KCUR-FM Kansas City as well as an assistant professor of communications at the University of Missouri, which runs the station. She is also a former board member of National Public Radio.

WHO WILL BE FIRST TO TV EVERYWHERE?
Despite all the press given to Comcast's upcoming On Demand Online trial, it won't be the first company to launch a commercial broadband video offering that will allow subscribers to watch cable programming for free.
